This summer and fall, FRAN is hosting ten free Community Block Parties, two in each of Fairfield's five wards, so every neighborhood gets its turn. They are simple, all-ages gatherings, held on Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 at neighborhood parks, moving ward to ward every couple of weeks.

Come for lawn games, free snacks, and good company. You can also find local resources if you want them, from home repair and energy help to gardening, recycling, and more. Mostly, come meet your neighbors.

Our first party is Thursday, July 16, from 5 to 7 at Chautauqua Park. It is oriented to Ward 1, but everyone is welcome at any party.

What to bring: a hat, a water bottle, and a lawn chair.
