It’s Official: FRAN launched and had ouribbon cutting, July 1

Jul 1, 2026

On Wednesday, July 1, the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce joined us in Central Park to cut the ribbon on the Fairfield Resilient Action Network. It was a proud moment, and a real one, made possible by the community members who have carried this work from an idea into an organization.

FRAN grew out of the volunteer Resilient Action Committee and is now an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our vision is a Fairfield with strong local food, quality housing, and healthy land and water, built through steady, forward-thinking, community-led work. We are led by a nine-member board of directors, along with our director and project manager, Faith Reeves.

The block parties are our first big push, but they are just the start. We have a long list of projects ahead, from home repair resources to local food to caring for our land and water.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave, and believed in this. If you would like to be part of what comes next, you can volunteer, partner, or give at FranIowa.org.
